CMF created the Democracy Awards to recognize extraordinary public service in Congress. Now in its third year, the program seeks to:Recognize and applaud legislators and staff who truly deserve acknowledgment for their best practices in the service of the Congress.
- Provide examples for congressional colleagues to emulate, thereby enhancing the entire institution.
- Enhance and improve public understanding and trust in Congress – if only a tiny bit, demonstrating that Congress can work.
Learn how your office can nominate itself for a 2020 Democracy Award! We'll have staff of 2018 and 2019 winners on hand to discuss what winning the award meant to their office, and we'll describe the nominations process in detail and answer any lingering questions you have. We hope you'll join us!
