Joey Novick has been a political comedian, camp counselor, editorial director, attorney, busboy, radio show host, professional speaker, child actor, and an elected official in New Jersey—but not necessarily in that order. As a lawyer, stand-up comedian, and improviser Joey studied with Chicago’s famed Second City improvisational theater director and improv guru, Del Close. His workshop The Improvisational Lawyer has been presented to Bar Associations, and legal conferences around the country in 21 different states. He has appeared for more than twenty years as a panelist for the New Jersey State League of Municipalities on the topic of the benefits of laughter in government. He has appeared at more than 25 state leagues of towns around the country, including the National League of Cities and the National Association of Counties.
