Ask Joe: Navigating the Roe v. Wade debate

    Hello, Joe

As long as abortion was a settled issue thanks to Roe v. Wade, my family avoided discussing that particularly divisive issue. But now that it looks like the Supreme Court is going to overturn its own ruling, I'm already dreading the fights that may break out when my family gets together this summer. Any tips on how to navigate that debate?

Ask Joe: Navigating uncomfortable tensions in challenging conversations

    Hi Joe,

What can we do to help ourselves override tendencies to react before thinking deeply about issues when involved in heated conversations? It has gotten so hard to have conversations at work. We try our best to not have conversations about politics and stuff at all. But not talking about it doesn’t make it any easier. I can feel the tension and it makes the day at work so tiring.

    Thanks for your thoughts.
