Election Day is ticking closer. And the drama about absentee ballots deadlines carries on. States are also trying to nail down other mail-in requirements before Nov. 3, like South Carolina's witness rule.
Fraud alert 🚨 Republcian prosecutors are investigating 47 whole ballots in Pennsylvania and Texas that might be instances of election cheating. Hardly evidence of the massive scam President Trump says is the only reason he might lose re-election.
While voter fraud still doesn't look to be a significant problem, misinformation will be. The FBI and DHS reminded folks to keep an eye out for shady election information — especially about the results. If you spot some, MapLight has launched a tool where you can report misinformation on Facebook.
It's finally over. Maine will be the first state to use ranked-choice voting for a presidential election. Glad we can put that one in the books. (Yes, we're assuming the GOP can't persuade the U.S. Supreme Court to reverse the state's top court on this question.)
If you're looking for a laugh, here's a guy in Michigan who had a creative display about where people can deposit their mail-in ballots. His local county clerk didn't find it too funny, though.
