Basketball player Josue Gil-Silva coordinated with Stanford to show voter registration QR codes on the video display screens during men’s basketball games. To bolster the initiative, Josue created a captivating video clip encouraging fans to get to the polls.

Kaylie Sippel (women’s volleyball and softball) and Spencer Baird (men’s basketball) hosted the first session of their mental health resource series, open to St. Francis athletes. Dr. Paige Roberts, a licensed social worker with a focus on peak performance for athletes, kicked off the initiative with an interactive, educational session where attendees learned tactics to optimize their mental state during performance.

Tufts junior Mikayla Paquette, who plays on the women's basketball team, has planned a two-part initiative to bring some energy to the Medford community. In part one, Tufts hosted the “Community Hoops” tournament where local young hoopers had the chance to play in a 3v3 tournament in Tufts' state-of-the-art facilities, For the second part, set to kick off in April, Mikayla has partnered with Artists for Humanity to paint a vibrant outdoor court in the area, cementing the legacy of her work in Boston.

On March 14, Kelly Grace Richardson (men's rowing coxswain) is hosting the EmpowerHER Game Changers Summit at Georgetown, with an option to join virtually. The summit is dedicated to honoring the incredible contributions of women in sports, at the collegiate and professional levels ,bringing together female trailblazers, former athletes and influential figures who have left an indelible mark on the world of sports. Kansas Robinson (softball) organized a recurring clothing drive at Northwestern sporting events throughout the month of January. Robinson received more than 150 bags of clothing to distribute to Connections for the Homeless in Evanston, IL. See more about the initiative here.
